MUMBAI: Analysts at Deutsche Bank are predicting that inflation is likely to increase in the current financial year as all three leading telecom companies in the country have hiked the tariff. Inflation (excluding food and fuel) is expected to increase by 0.20 percent.
It is said that the inflation trend may change due to the effect of rains along with tariff hikes. It is said that the effect of an increase in telecom tariffs will be seen from July.
Only due to these increases, inflation may increase by 0.85 percent on a monthly basis. As it can increase by 0.20 percent per annum, he said that the previous inflation estimate of 3.6 percent is being revised to 3.8 percent.
