Eligibility: 

  • 10th Class, 12th Class, Diploma in relevant discipline, Bachelor Degree, PG pass along with work experience following the post.


Selection Process: 

  • Selection will be based on a Written Test, Trade/Skill Test, Interview, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

  • General/ OBC/ EWS Candidates Rs.1500 (For Female Staff Nurse Posts) Rs.1000 (For Other Posts). 5,500 for SC/ST/PWD.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education (formerly Ministry of Human Resource Development) of the Government of India. It was established to provide quality education to talented children predominantly from rural areas in India. NVS operates a unique system of alternate schooling called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across various states and Union Territories in India.


About Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti:

1/10. Establishment: 

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti was established in 1986 by the then Ministry of Education, Government of India.


2/10. Objective: 

The primary objective of NVS is to identify talented rural children and provide them with quality education comparable to the best in a residential school system, without regard to their families' socio-economic condition.


3/10. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNVs): 

These are co-educational, residential schools established in each district of India, aiming to provide education up to Class XII. The admission process for JNVs includes a selection test called the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST), conducted annually at the national level.


4/10. Infrastructure:

 JNVs are well-equipped with modern infrastructure including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer labs, and residential facilities for students and staff.


5/10. Curriculum: 

The curriculum at JNVs follows the guidelines provided by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.


6/10. Free Education:

 Education, boarding, and lodging are provided free of cost to the selected students, and there are no fees charged.


7/10. Medium of Instruction:

 The medium of instruction in JNVs is the mother tongue or regional language up to Class VIII and English afterward.


8/10. Promotion of National Integration: 

NVS aims to promote national integration by providing opportunities for students from different linguistic backgrounds to learn and live together.


9/10. Extracurricular Activities: 

Along with academics, JNVs emphasize extracurricular activities like sports, arts, and cultural events to ensure the holistic development of students.


10/10. Expansion: 

Over the years, NVS has expanded its network, and as of the latest information available, there are more than 600 JNVs spread across various states and Union Territories in India.
